How often should I wash my lingerie?
Bras need to breathe and recover their shape. Ideally you should have 5-7 everyday bras and would wash after each wear. If you have 3-5 everyday bras then you could wash ever other wear, but never wearing them two days consecutively.
How should I wash my lingerie?
Fine Lingerie is often made with delicate fabrics like silk and lace. Special care should be taken to keep your investment looking good. We recommend hand washing, but you can also wash on the delicate or hand wash cycle in lingerie bags and bra bags. If you do this, you should always hook the back of your bras and fold them into the specially made bra washer shown above. We recommend using a special detergent like the Laundress, but in a pinch you could you use Woolite or Dreft. Lay your bras and underwear and silks flat to dry. Other fine items may be hung. Never put your lingerie in the dryer.
Do I need to store my lingerie in a special way?
We recommend that you never fold your bras, but leave them flat and store in rows. Hosiery or delicate lace should be stored in soft bags or in cloth lined inserts to avoid snagging.
How often do I need to replace my bras?
It depends on how many you have for everyday. If you have seven bras that you alternate, they should last for a year to fifteen months. Most people have 3-4 everyday bras and these will last for six to nine months and then need to be replaced. Special occasion and fashion pieces will remain in good shape as long as they are washed and stored correctly for two to three years.
